Skincare is about taking care of your skin by keeping it clean and moisturized. Different products like toner, lotion, cream, cleanser, and serum are used for skincare.

By making skincare a routine in the right order and doing it every day, you can aim to improve your skin concerns.

Although skin type of each person is different, basic idea of Skincare Routine is the same for everybody. After you achieve Basic Skincare Routine, then you can upgrade it into your suitable version of Skincare.

Here is the basic Skincare Routine for you to start.

Step1: Cleansing & Facial Wash

The skincare routine starts with cleansing at night and washing your face in the morning. Cleansing is not only a skincare step to remove makeup but also a skincare step to clean up the air-pollution oriented dusts. So regardless having making up or not, it is a must-step to do cleansing.

Usually, many people do cleansing before or during bathing, but doing it right after returning home is recommended as it's easier to make it a routine.

Makeup is said to oxidize over time, and removing makeup as soon as possible reduces the burden on the skin. After cleansing at night, let's continue with washing your face.

Morning skincare aims to remove sebum and dust that are secreted during sleep, so it's best to do it right after waking up. If you think that sleeping does not make your skin dirty, then be careful.  While sleeping, of course, you are exposed to dusts in the room, also you sweat, have skin oils...etc. Those are the one which make your skin not clean. So even if you just slept, you must wash it off to keep your skin clean.

Step2: Lotion (Toner)

Regardless morning or night, after washing your face, it is a must apply lotion / toner right away. After washing your face, you may have washed away necessary oils, and your skin may be in a state where it loses a lot of moisture and is prone to dryness.

Four skin, Dryness is the enemy.

After gently patting your skin with a soft towel to remove excess water, it's good to warm up the lotion / toner in your hands a bit before applying it to your face. Then you skin feels so happy.

Step3: Emulsion

Emulsion is a moisturizing product containing oil, and it's used to prevent the water from evaporating that was applied with the lotion / toner. Since lotion is easy to become dry, emulsion is quite important to keep your skin moist.

Before applying toner and beauty serum thoroughly to the skin, warm up a small amount in your hands and gently apply it to your face, making sure to evenly blend it without rubbing the skin.

Rubbing skin is the enemy.

Keep doing a gentle hand press until the skin surface feels slightly less sticky.

Step4: Serum

Beauty serum is a skincare item that you add to your routine according to your skin concerns. And normally people cares a lot about Serum since it has various functions. There are various types of beauty serums, such as moisturizing serums, whitening serums, and acne care serums.

Since the frequency, amount, and steps of application may vary depending on the product, please follow the instructions on the product's label.

Generally, beauty serums are applied after toner, but make sure to check the usage instructions of the specific item before adding it to your skincare routine.

Step5: Cream

For those with easily dry skin, it's a good idea to add cream with more oil content to your skincare routine.

Cream not only serves the same purpose as emulsion but also comes in various types, such as those containing abundant beauty ingredients or night creams, aiming to solve specific skin concerns.

Cream is often used as the last step in the nighttime skincare routine, but if you're adding it to your routine, check the cream's ingredients and the appropriate timing for application.

Also, if you want to take care of dryness and fine lines around the eyes, it's recommended to include eye cream in your skincare routine.

The order of using eye cream may vary depending on the product, but it's generally applied towards the end of the skincare routine. The skin around the eyes is delicate, so apply it gently without using too much pressure.
